FORWARD and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) worked in partnership with the Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone (PPASL) on a project titled "Empowering girls at risk". This project set out to assess the situation, experiences and effects of teenage pregnancy and early motherhood on girls in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The aim was to improve the sexual and reproductive health and rights of girls and young women and also make their situation visible. The project ran from December 2009 to December 2010. This new publication is a booklet with highlights from the project with photographs.
