FORWARD at the Steering Committee for the implementation of the UK Parliamentary Hearings on FGM1 May 2000 FORWARD was on the Steering Committee for the implementation of the UK Parliamentary Hearings on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) that were held in May 2000. The all party parliamentary group on Population, Development, and Reproductive Health published their report of the hearings on 22 November 2000. The hearing aimed to raise awareness of the FGM in the UK and in Africa and to generate support for FGM prevention and eradication programmes. |
