Invitation to tender for evaluation of Bristol FGM Community Development Project 2010-2011

October 17th 2011

closing date 5pm on Tuesday 1 November

We are inviting consultants to tender to undertake an evaluation of this project that has been running in Bristol for over two years. The project is concerned to enable better health outcomes for women and girls affected by female genital mutilation (FGM) from African communities resident in Bristol. The project’s intended outcomes relate to improved knowledge and confidence for girls and women and also for health professionals, and to women making informed decisions about FGM and advocating for attitudinal and behavioural change among practising communities.

We particularly encourage consultants with a good knowledge of Bristol’s diverse communities and experience of evaluation with BME women and communities. Please see the invitation to tender attached for your information.

The closing date for tender submissions is 5pm, Tuesday 1 November and shortlisted consultants will be informed by Friday 4 November for interviews being held in Bristol on Wednesday 16 November. The evaluation report must be finalised and signed off by FORWARD by Friday 9 March.
