International News - Woman jailed in Paris for circumcising girlsFebruary 19th 1999 Paris: In February this year, 53 year-old Hawa Greou from Mali was sentenced to eight years in prison for circumcising up to 50 young girls. Also tried as accomplices in the ritual circumcisions were twenty-six parents, who were given sentences from three years suspended to two years in prison.
