FORWARD on tour with Skunk AnansieNovember 21st 1999 In October, FORWARD was invited by Skin of Skunk Anansie, to attend her UK tour, to promote awareness ofFemale Genital Mutilation (FGM). It was a unique opportunity to reach out to a young audience and invite them to find out more about what FORWARD does. At each concert venue throughout the UK, FORWARD set up a stall in the entrance and gave out leaflets to Skunk fans. We've had a good response from the concerts and many have got in contact with us for more information or to make donations. We look forward to future work with Skunk Anansie. |
