Naana, Executive Director awarded EDI Advocate of the Year

As we mark FORWARD’s 40th anniversary we are thrilled to celebrate a truly special milestone as our Executive Director, Naana Otoo-Oyortey MBE, has been recognised as a UK Award Winner in the Top 50 Professional and Career Women of the Year Awards by Women in Management!

Naana has been honoured as the EDI Advocate of the Year, recognising her exceptional leadership and tireless advocacy for gender justice, equality, and women’s rights.

A Feminist Leader with over 30 years of global experience, Naana has dedicated her life to advancing the rights of women and girls. Since joining FORWARD, a UK-based African diaspora women’s rights organisation, she has transformed the organisation’s scale and impact leading groundbreaking work to end female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage and champion gender equality worldwide.

This recognition is not only a testament to Naana’s visionary leadership, but also to the collective power of our 40-year journey at FORWARD, empowering women and girls to thrive, lead, and create lasting change.
