Fundraise - Forward

Fundraise - Forward

Fundraising is a fantastic way to support our work and it also helps raise awareness of the issues of FGM, child marriage and violence against women and girls. From local bake sales to skydives, any funds raised are gratefully appreciated in the effort to support safeguard the rights of girls and women! See this Fundraising A to Z Guide for ideas of what you could do.

A great way to raise funds is to set up a Just Giving page, it is easy to do, and it helps you to promote your fundraising activity and for people to pay online. Need guidance on setting up your fundraising page?

If you plan on doing some fundraising for FORWARD, please let us know! We would love to support you with anything you need. We can provide t-shirts, films to screen, FORWARD literature to hand out and we can help promote your event through our networks and on our website.

Need any ideas? Here are some innovative ways you can fundraise today!

  • Asking for donations instead of Christmas/wedding/etc. gifts?
  • Staying silent for 24 hours?
  • No-shave November?
  • Dry January?

However it is you decide how to fund raise, we thank you!

As a mixed race (white English & Somali) woman, FGM is a very sad and real part of my life, so I decided to do something about it through awareness raising, myth busting and fundraising. I choose FORWARD as you stood out for your work in Africa, UK & Europe.

By fundraising, everyday people like me not only get to raise money, but it’s an opportunity to tell your friends and family about the issue, and that’s what needs to happen.
