Event: Zero Tolerance to FGM: Investing in the health & dignity of women & girls
To mark the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, FORWARD, London Councils and ASCENT warmly invite you to attend our upcoming community event. The event will take place on Friday, 13 February 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre.
The 2026 global theme, “Towards 2030: No End to FGM Without Sustained Commitment and Investment,” highlights the urgent need for long-term action to safeguard the rights, health and dignity of women and girls.
This event will bring together community members, local leaders and organisations committed to ending FGM and all forms of violence against women and girls.
FGM remains a violation of human rights and a critical public health concern. Ending it requires meaningful partnerships, consistent investment, and communities equipped with knowledge, resources and support.
Through presentations, discussions and storytelling, this event will explore how collective action can drive progress, strengthen protection and invest in the health and dignity of women & girls.
We invite you to join the conversation and be part of the movement.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Please reserve your space at this event and for more information see here.
