On 18 September 2025, at Matrix Chambers, London, FORWARD celebrated 40 years of empowering African, Black and minoritised women and girls, and campaigning to end FGM, child marriage and violence against women and girls.
The energy in the room was inspiring – from powerful poetry and discussions, to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of FORWARD’s journey over the past four decades, and to those who continue to walk alongside us as we plant the seeds of change for the next 40 years.
