To mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence 2018, FORWARD is launching a series of deeply insightful dialogues on Black women’s perceptions of Sexual Harassment in UK Universities. In line with this year’s global theme, #HearMeToo, which seeks to amplify the voices of marginalised groups, FORWARD and its partners: Childdren’s Dignity Forum (Tanzania), Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) and Sub-Saharan Advisory Panel (SSAP) under the TuWezeshe Akina Dada Young Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Movement, are: releasing a policy brief, hosting ground-shaking panel events and interactive social media campaigns aimed at raising awareness and ending sexual violence in higher learning institutions.
TuWezeshe Akina Dada is FORWARD’s flagship young women’s leadership programme supported by Comic Relief and implemented in the UK and Africa. If you need support or any information relating to the issues represented in this film, please contact FORWARD at 020 8960 4000 (extension 1), or at [email protected].
