FORWARD welcomes the statement from Justine Greening MP, Secretary of State for Education, this Monday, 1st February making Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) compulsory in all schools in England.
In February 2017 FORWARD hosted Tackling Female Genital Mutilation in Schools: Adopting a Holistic and Proactive Approach, a one day pan-European conference, alongside the End FGM European Network.
Acton Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Community Clinic have just been told that their funding will be stopped in March 2017. The clinic is a specialist FGM service that has been running for 10 years, it provides counselling, support and de-infibulation procedures (Type 3 FGM reversal) for girls and women affected by FGM.
