York Students Raise Money for FORWARD Through A Celebration Of Culture

We would like to say a very BIG thank you to students from York University Fusion Society who raised £2,500 for FORWARD through an event in March 2006.

The event, organised by Caroline Jee, flaunted modern urban culture through an innovative expression of the arts; dance, music and fashion were all channels used to communicate the celebration.

The show was an overwhelming success, with spectacular performances from artists such as the one in the image. The event even featured on Radio One by DJ Spoony who hosted the show.

At the end of the show a video clip was shown, introducing FORWARD, our objectives and raising awareness about our issues of concern and the work we do to end traditional harmful practices.

Fusion is an annual event so to lend your support, or find out more about next year’s Fusion event, visit their website www.yorkfusion.org.

If you would be interested in helping raise funds to enable us to continue with our work, we’d love to hear from you so please get in touch or click here to find out about other ways in which you canget involved and help our work.
